About IET DAVV Indore

Established in 1996, the Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET-DAVV) is an autonomous institute under Devi Ahilya University, Indore. It offers UG, PG, and PhD programs, known for academic excellence, research output, and strong placement opportunities across top industries.

IET HISTORY

Devi Ahilya University within the framework of its UTD opened a self-financing engineering Institute named Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET) that started its academic journey with glorious dreams on 4th September 1996.

IET was started with a total intake of 90 students in three branches of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) - Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering having 30 students each.

IET is academically autonomous with flexible and modern curriculum in all six branches of engineering. AICTE has approved 180 additional seats making total intake of 540 students per year.

IET became PG Institute in 2002 and presently it is conducting ME Programmes with six specializations. In year 2006, MSc program in Applied Mathematics was also started.

Dr. Rakesh Singhai

Vice Chancellor

Dr. Rakesh Singhai, Vice Chancellor of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, is an IIT Delhi alumnus and seasoned academic leader. Appointed on October 4, 2024, he brings decades of experience from institutions like RGPV and Government Engineering College, Bhopal. Dr. Singhai is leading transformative initiatives including NEP 2020-based curriculum reforms, digitalization through ERP, and NAAC accreditation enhancement. He has launched a Research and Industrial Consultancy Cell to foster innovation and industry collaboration. Committed to inclusive education, he promotes scholarships and mentorship for underprivileged students. His leadership focuses on quality, transparency, and global engagement to position DAVV as a premier institution.

Dr. Vrinda Tokekar, DirectorDr. Vrinda Tokekar, Director of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET), DAVV, Indore, is an accomplished academician and researcher with a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. With over 68 publications and 3,600+ reads, her expertise spans wireless networks, cybersecurity, and software engineering. Prior to her directorship, she served as Head of the IT Department, leading strategic academic and technological advancements. As Patron of PHENMA 2024, she showcased exceptional leadership in international academic collaboration. Dr. Tokekar actively promotes student-centric learning, mentorship, and faculty-led innovation. Her vision continues to elevate IET DAVV’s infrastructure, research profile, and global academic presence.
